Drug Alerts
Through the United Way of Broward County Commission on Substance's collaborative endeavor of The Center for the Study and Prevention of Substance at Nova Southeastern University, epidemiological reports are produced to provide vital community information about current drug trends and alerts.
These action alerts remain central the Commission's philosophy of "information into action" and serve as the data-driving force behind many of the Commission's prevention initiatives as well as other dedicated organizations in our community.
The Commission and the The Center for the Study and Prevention of Substance at Nova Southeastern University particpate in both State and National epidemilogical workgroups. Below, please find Trend Reports from Florida's Substance Abuse Epidemiology Workgroup:
- EpiCenter Issue 1 - Prescription Drug Abuse Trends in Florida
- EpiCenter Issue 2 - Adult and Underage Alcohol Use in Florida
- EpiCenter Issue 3 - The Cost of Underage Drinking In Florida
